What platform do you recommend?
It depends on scope. Lutron plus a solid network covers most homes; larger projects with audio, video, and access control get a full control platform. We spec to your household, not to one brand.
Can you take over a system another company installed?
Often yes. We audit what's there, document credentials and device inventory, fix the weak points, and support it going forward.
Do I need to rewire to automate my house?
Not usually. Wireless lighting and sensors retrofit cleanly. Wired backbone is recommended for cameras, access points, and anything mission-critical.
What happens if the internet goes down?
We design so core functions — lighting, shades, scenes, keypads — keep working locally. Remote app access is the only thing that pauses.
